Busy, busy...

no time to craft! My brother and sister-in-law are due in tonight at midnight into San Francisco. Just for the weekend but still..yay! AND that means, OMW I HAVE TO CLEAN THAT ROOM! The guest room is also where I do my crafting. I don't have a lot...just a little here and there since I cleaned up some the other day.

Anyway, here is my card for today. On the All That Scraps blog, there was a challenge to make a scented card! Ooh mercy. I've never done anything like that! So, I used what I had to make a scented card. Okay, you know when you go to the car wash to have your car detailed and they put those little pieces of paper impregnated with scent under your car seat? They're teeny weeny but boy are they smelly. Well, I happen to have a few of those (new) so I cut off an eency weency piece of an apple cinnamon scented one (because a full one would be way too strong) and stuck it under a layer. It smells so divine!

And since I had gotten my NEW stamp sets from All That Scraps, I had to use this cute little girl. She is going to be so fun! I've got lots of fun things planned for her!

What I used: Olivia's Birdies from All That Scraps, Memento ink, Copic markers, ribbons, felt flowers from SU!, Neenah CS, SU! cardstock, Basic Grey paper (a new one..isn't it divine?!?), a brad, some stick on things for the corners, cuttlebug, nestabilities, cuttlebug embossing folder, white gel pen and a little apple button that I covered with glossy accents to make it shiny. :D

Sorry for the state of the photograph. I'm using the digital camera that I hate because I'm too lazy to find the power cord to charge the battery for the digital camera that I like. LOL I'm sure it is here in the office....somewhere. Anyway, I photoshopped the photo to try to make it look better and I'm pretty sure that it is a big bucket of FAIL on the photoshopping but whatever.

Thanks for stopping by today! Sorry to be so chatty.

Dutch Dare time!

This week at the Dutch Dare card challenge blog, we were to create a girly card. I LOVE girly!

When I sat down to make this card, I didn't really have a plan in mind, but upon finishing, I noticed that it bears a striking resemblance to the card that I made the other day for Amy's sketch challenge. WHAT A DORK! I even used the same stamp. LOL I guess I must really like that sketch or something. I mean, it IS different...sort of. They layers are different and stuff...but yeah still quite similar.

Anyway! Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to run over by the Dutch Dare card challenge blog to take a peek at what the other girls did and to participate in the challenge. :)

What I used: Tilda stamp from Magnolia, Neenah CS, SU CS, unknown PP, Memento ink, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, nestabilities, perfect layers tool, Cuttlebug embossing folder, ribbon, MS scallop, black gel pen, stickles, Prima flower, MM rhinestone brad.

Color challenged...

I'm not. Or at least I don't think that I am. I mean, I know how to employ a color wheel as well as anyone else...but I am really digging color challenges lately. Of course, they won't top my favorite sketch challenges, but I am really enjoying them. :)

On the Our Creative Corner blog this week, a challenge was made to use Old Olive, Ruby Red and Pumpkin Pie with Chocolate Chip being an optional color. I happen to LOVE these colors. A lot. Autumn is my favorite season all year so I'm always so excited when it comes to using these fun colors on something.

What I used: Glam Girl from C.C. Designs at All That Scraps, Memento ink, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug Embossing folder, SU! CS, GP CS, DCWV PP, Studio G stamp for the sentiment, old olive ink, ribbon from Michael's, Prima flowers, Hero Arts flower, Making Memories brad.

I had so much fun making this card. The girl was a bit tricky to snip out with those bony little arms of hers (yeah, mine are like that too...I WISH!) But I knew I wanted to layer her on a Cuttlebug'd oval.

So anyway, thanks for stopping by today! I have to work a full time schedule this week. BOO! But it is okay, just for a few weeks more (hopefully? I keep saying that, don't I? LOL!)

All is well....

in my world for right now. I made a booboo in our bank account, but my husband fixed it so I'm just going to move on past it. :D

So....I've been playing a bit in my scrap-sty today. It is a pig-sty, y'all. Oof. Like a paper factory asplodededed in there! LOL I gotta get to work on clearing that out in the next few days.

Anyway, here is one of the cards that I've worked on. This is for TWO challenges! One was from the Color Throwdown blog to use ballet blue, apricot appeal and bashful blue. I was sort of scared I'd have to change to a different color because I am down to scraps with my bashful blue (no worries! I have some on order...hehe!) The other was using the sketch at Mothers and Daughter's creations.

What I used: Glam Girl from C.C. Designs at All That Scraps, Memento Ink, Neenah CS, SU CS, DCWV PP, Prima flowers, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Stickles.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a great week. :)

23 August 2008

Having some fun with bright colors and sketches.

On Amy's blog, Prairie Paper & Ink, she had a really cute sketch that I wanted to try...and on the Cute Card Thursday blog, they had a challenge to use bright colors. I LOVE sketches and I LOVE bright colors so this was a match made in heaven, no?

I had to make it a 5.5" square card which I normally don't make to accommodate the size circle I had to use to cut out the stamped image.

Thanks for stopping by today...hope to have some time to get around to my favorite blogs tonight! I wish the Olympics would hurry up and be over so that I didn't feel compelled to watch those instead of visit blogs...or make things...or you know, clean house. LOL!

What I used: Tilda from Magnolia stamps, Memento ink, Copic markers, a few colored pencils to help fill in where I don't have the right Copic marker, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder, white gel pen, some chalks to color a sky and a bit of soft grassy area, Prima flowers, SU brad, SU CS, Neenah CS, Sassafras Lass PP.

Glitteriffic!

Mkay, y'all know I likes me some glitturz...may have gone a bit over on this one though. :D

On the ATS blog, this week was a sketch challenge! YAAAAY! Lovey lovey those. So I sat down and played a bit with some things.

What I used: a Glam Girl from C.C. Designs, Memento ink, Copic markers, Stickles, spica glitter pen, MS glitter on her sunglasses, Stampin' Up CS (so sad, my last piece of wasabi paper..boohooohooo!), Neenah CS, K&Co. PP, velvet ribbon, prima flower, stick on pearl, Cuttlebug, nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Thanks for popping by today. My DH and I are soon to leave to go to a party with all his teacher friends. I'd rather stay home but I don't want to be a grouch about it. We'll just make an appearance and come home. :D I'm driving. heh.

Dutch Dare Challenge #11

This week on the Dutch Dare Card Challenge blog, we were challenged to make a get well card. Poor Riley, always having to play my puppet!

What I used: SU! CS, Neenah CS, unknown PP, Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps, Adirondack ink, Copic markers, Prima flowers, MM button brad, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, computer generated phrase, yummy 7/8" ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to hop over to the Dutch Dare blog to participate....you could win a Bella stamp with some pretty papers and stuff from Card Art. :)

20 August 2008

One Pretty Kitty.

Another kitty! Just as pretty as Hello Kitty but maybe not quite as many accessories. hehe!

This is for the ATS blog challenge to make a suspension card. I have never made one before. Not sure if I even did it right but I like the result! :)

What I used: C.C. Designs stamps, Stampin' Up CS (one of them in my least favorite color of Orchid Opulence. Bleh.), DCWV PP, Neenah stamping paper, Memento ink, Copic markers, Prima flowers, white brads, gel pen, paper piercer, rhinestones.

Thanks for hopping by today! I did get to get into my stamping room yesterday and play...after I cleaned up the mess I had previously left in there. Paper....EVerywhere!

19 August 2008

One more card....

from the Verve sketches from last week. I know, I need to make something new! But this is my first day off in 8 days so I'm hoping to be able to get in there and make some fun stuff to share. After I clean this house and run my errands. ACK! Hopefully things are on the mend at work now so they can not work me so much. We'll see. :D I've started some things, just haven't finished anything to my liking.

What I used: Stampin' Up CS, Neenah CS, DCWV PP, Rachelle Anne Miller stamp, Memento ink, Copic markers, ribbon, Prima flowers, faux dew drop, spica glitter pen.

Thanks for popping by today!

18 August 2008

Hello....Kitty!

Okay, y'all should know this right now. I LOVE Hello Kitty. Bordering on obsession I would almost say. hehe

Anyway, if you've ever used Adobe Photoshop, you know that they have shapes that you can create or download and install. You can use these shapes to create computer graphics.

Well, I happen to have Hello Kitty shapes. I can't remember where I found them but when I saw Allison's Girls of the World post where she used the clipart, I knew I had to use my Hello Kitty shapes to one day make a card.

What I used: Photoshop, Stampin' Up CS, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folder, K&Co PP, Making Memories button brads, spica glitter pen.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

16 August 2008

Inspiration: Neighbor.

I have a neighbor a few houses down that has the cutest front porch. On her front porch, she has this red metal chair just like the one I used on this card. Her yard is always perfectly green and manicured. So, as I drove by their house the other day, I was inspired to make a card using her red chair.

What Iused: Lockhart stamp, MFT sentiment, SU basic black ink, Prisma pencils, OMS, chalk and sponges, white gel pen, prisma flowers that started out pink, but ended up a way different color, SU CS, DCWV PP, SU ribbon, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Fiskars Threading Water punch.

Thanks for stopping by! I've been sooo busy at work that it has left me little time to play with things and read all my favorite blogs! Frustrating! But thankfully I'll have a day off this week to just do whatever I want. :)

Dutch Dare Card Challenges #10

This week, we were to use an animal stamp as our image. Welllll...I did get those new cute stamps and it happens to be a cat on one of them so I had to use it, right?

Go check out the Dutch Dare card challenge blog for details on how you could win that cute stamp over there. Seriously, I did not know those cute stamps existed. I'm soooo getting those. They match my little doggie!

I was going to name this post title "I DOT A PROBLEM" because of all the dots used here. hehe

What I used: Rachelle Anne Miller stamp, MFT sentiment stamp, Stampin' Up CS, Neenah CS, K&Co. PP, Memento Ink, Copic markers, Colorbox ink for the sentiment, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Spica glitter pen, Stickles, Prima flowers, May Arts ribbon, stick on pearl and white gel pen.

I got some new stamps!

I'm so excited! I got some of the new Rachelle Anne Miller stamps!

This was made for one of the Anni-VERVE-sary sketch challenges which I had so much fun doing!

Quick post today as I'm off to work!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Stamps: Rachelle Anne Miller, Verve sentiment
Paper: Making Memories, Stampin' Up, Bazzill
Ink: Memento & Copic markers
Accessories: Threading water punch, ribbon, spica glitter pen, perfect layers

11 August 2008

I finished them all!

I finished all the Verve sketches at around 11:30PM PST on Monday night. Woo hoo! Some are not at all my favorites, but I'm okay with that. Anyway, here are two more.

I watercolored again. Still not my favorite. I much prefer my Copics still. And prefer my pencils after my Copics and watercoloring is at the bottom of the heap of how I prefer to color. I even bought some cheapy watercolors to see if it made a difference from using the SU! ink. It doesn't. Still a pain in the rear end to do. LOL

Stamps: Magnolia stamps
Paper: Stampin' Up, Basic Grey, water color paper
Ink: Stazon
Accessories: Watercolors, perfect layers tool, cuttlebug, cuttlebug embossing folder, Prima flowers, stick on pearl, Glimmer mist.

Stamps: My Favorite Things
Paper: Stampin' Up, K&Co, Neenah
Ink: Memento & Copic markers
Accessories: Threading water punch, cuttlebug, cuttlebug embossing folder, Nestabilities, prima marketing ribbon

Anyway, that is it for today! Thanks for stopping by. :)

I've been busy...

with the Verve sketch challenges on SCS! I've made 8 so far (just finished the 8th, in fact.) And I've only got four to go! I only started yesterday. LOL! Nothing like waiting 'til the last minute. But I did wait and here are a couple. I'm gonna save the rest for later this week as it is going to be busy this week a work. *pouts* hehe!

Stamps: Riley from Hanna Stamps
Paper: Stampin' Up, K&Co., Neenah
Ink: Memento & Copic markers
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, gel pen, stick on embellies from Michael's.

Those little things that look like brads? They're from the beading section and they were on clearance for a dollar. They're supposed to be used on bracelets but I just put a glue dot on the back and stuck it on the paper. :D

Stamps: Sarah Kay, MFT sentiment
Paper: Stampin' Up, K&Co, Neenah
Ink: Memento & Copic markers
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, ribbon, Making Memories button brads.

09 August 2008

I finally got some Magnolia stamps!

Woohoo! I ordered them from my friend Jennifer who owns Little C's.

I had so much fun coloring these! I stamped a bunch of them on different papers with different inks and played around with different coloring mediums. Of course...I love coloring. hehe

Thanks for stopping by today! My DH will be home tomorrow and then his birthday is on Monday! We'll all be happy to have him home again. :)

What I used: Magnolia stamp, Memento ink, Copic markers, white gel pen, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folder, CM wavy cutter, Stampin' Up CS, Neena CS, Cosmo Cricket PP and a bit of stickles. The sentiment is from the only sentiment stamps that I have....My Favorite Things. hehe

08 August 2008

No stampin' today...

I'm doing some errands and shopping today so you get one that I made for the Dirty Girls challenges on SCS. I'm all about recycling. LOL!

And...I took some cards to work today to show a girl who scrapbooks because we were talking about paper and stuff and while I was showing her my shoebox, a crowd had gathered and people bought my cards. MY CARDS. They wanted to BUY them....with like...real paper money. I, of course, sold them. LOL At first I was sort of protective of them..thinking..no I wouldn't sell my precious cards. But I quickly changed my mind as I remembered....OH. I can make more JUST LIKE THOSE because I HAVE ALL THAT STUFF. heh Anyway, I took 25 cards to show my friend and sold 17 of them. :D Now I've got $51 to spend on more new stuff to make more cards. heee!

And I'm off to the races to get my errands done! Hope everyone is having a lovely Friday! YAY! FRIDAY!!!

Dutch Dare #9

This week on the Dutch Dare Card Challenge blog, we were asked to use black and white and one other color.

I wanted to keep it simple. And it is pretty simple, but the cutting out of those twee butterflies was excruciatingly tedious. LOL I like it though.

What I used: I used a really sparkley white paper for the base. I don't know the origin of it, I picked it up at the stamping store and I have a ton of it..hehe. Stampin' Up CS & ribbon. Verve Visual stamps, Brilliance Graphite black ink, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Nestabilities, gel pen, stick on pearls.

That is all for today! I've got to work here in a few so I'm off to tackle the day!

05 August 2008

This post brought to you by SC188 on SCS

What a great sketch this week on SCS! And since I got a new package Monday with the new Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy line patterned paper, I just had to cut into it! I used to not be this way. I used to "save" my paper...for what? I dunno. It is paper for pity's sake. It isn't like I won't find others that I may like more than the one I'm saving.

Anyway...isn't Riley cute as a button sitting there on that little hill toasting his marshmallows? Hee...I love Riley! If Hanna Stamps were to ever need a Riley only design team, I would be there to pester them until I got in. LOL!

What I used: Stampin' Up Cardstock, Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy PP, Riley stamp, MFT sentiment, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Perfect layers tool, Bo Bunny Brad, white gel pen, Memento ink, Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you're all having a great week. Happy hump day, y'all!

OCCC challenge...

This week on the OCCC challenge blog, there was a sketch challenge! YAY! So I sat down at my little craft table and went to work on it.

Here is my card: Isn't he cute bopping around in the water? heehee!

What I used: C.C. Designs stamp, SU CS, DCWV paper, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Memento ink, Copic markers, glossy accents, white gel pen, CM wavy cutter.

Also, have y'all seen these cute Whiff of Joy stamps that are soon to be released? I sooo need them! They are just delightful! Anyway, she has a blog candy on the blog right now to win a full set of the Guardian Angel collection. Good luck!

I have relaxing on the brain...

or I wish I were on a beach somewhere warm drinking a large iced tea with nothing to do but sit and navel gaze. So...I decided to use two of my Hanna Stamps and Riley stamps to make these for the Hanna Stamps release sketch challenges on SCS. Don't they look soooo relaxed?!

What I used: Riley from Hanna Stamps, Memento ink, Copic markers, Stampin' Up CS, DCWV paper, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Perfect layers tool, Canvas BG, ribbon, CM wavy cutter, MFT sentiment.

For the Hanna card, I wanted to make a scene. :) So I used my uninked stamps that I bought at the last release and had not yet used. So, I got to working on her.

What I used: Hanna Stamps, Memento Ink, Copic markers, Stampin' Up CS, DCWV paper, Threading waters punch from Fiskars, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, white gel pen and a really sharp pair of paper snips.

That is is for today! Thanks for stopping by. I've got a ton of stuff to do today. YUCK! I would like to enjoy my day off just relaxing like these two...but life gets in the way of that sometimes. Enjoy your day!

04 August 2008

Sharing a few...

Well, even though I am still sneezing and I feel the need to plug up my nose with a feminine hygiene product, I have been having some fun with paper. :)

The first one is for the cute sketch challenge on Mothers and Daughter's Creations challenge blog. And for a girl at work because she looooves pirates and she loves black and red. *rolling my eyes* LOL (The lighting was a bit weird on this one so the colors look "off".)

What I used: Ollie and Oliva stamp and sentiment, Memento ink, Copic markers, SU paper, Neenah paper, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Crop a dile, Cuttlebug embossing folder, brads, Perfect Layers tool, ribbon.

This next one is for the My Favorite Things sketch challenge on SCS. I have been hanging on to this piece of Crate patterned paper for a while so I figured I'd use it. :)

What I used: My Favorite Things stamp and sentiment. (I cut the lavender part off the bottom of the image stamp and the grande off the Thank you sentiment. I mangle stamps that don't fit how I want them to. LOL) Memento ink, Stampin' Up CS, Crate paper, Neenah CS, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, perfect layers tool, prima flowers and a brad.

Thanks for stopping by today!

02 August 2008

On the All That Scraps blog, they issued a challenge to use buttons! I know exactly the buttons and the stamp set that I was going to use as soon as I saw the challenge! I had received some fabulous ice cream shaped buttons from Leslie over at The Crooked Stamper and the stamp set that I wanted to use was the little monkey from last month's C.C. Designs stamp release. :D

Here is my card:

What I used: Stampin' Up CS, DCWV patterned paper, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Memento ink, Copic markers, stickles, Stampin' Up ribbon, gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your Sunday is fantastic!
