NOT a snowman...

But he looks cold...like he is out in the snow and going to make a snowman. hehe

I can't exactly remember if this card was for a challenge or not. So I'm saying it is not unless someone comes forward and tells me I stole their design without credit or something. LOL

What I used: QT Hooty set from Pink Cat Studio, Neenah CS, Memento ink, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, SU CS, DCWV glitter mat pack, paper piercer, velvet ribbon, Prima flowers, and a Making Memories rhinestone brad.

Thanks for stopping in to see me today. :)

Not really my style...(This is long.)

or maybe it is? I love bright colors. I love adding embellishments and this and that to my cards. But I just don't like the square card. There. I said it. I hate squares. I discriminate against square cards. hehe

Anyway, on the Starving Artistsamps blog, they are calling this style the "Swedish Collage" style which if I'm reading right, they mean lots of stuff glued down to a square card. Right? So they issued a challenge...to make a card using this style and this is it. Though I LOOOVE the colors (maybe don't love green galore that much..LOL) and I love all the patterns of paper.

So, thinking along those lines of hating the square and loving all the "stuff"...I made another similary styled card in an A2 size.

I don't know that I like it better though because with the square, I can fit more stuff on the card.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by today.

What I used:

Square Card:
Mushroom Lane image from Cornish Heritage Farms, K&Co paper from the Amy Butler line, colored with copics, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folders, faux dew drops, prima flowers, SU brad, SU CS, button, and my corner rounder punch.

A2 sized card:
Lilac City Designs stamp, Neenah white CS, SU CS, K&Co. PP, ribbons, primas, eyelets, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, white gel pen, paper piercer, Stickles, a paper from a Martha Stewart paper crafting kit (I think it was supposed to have been place cards?).

Thanks for stopping by today!

A onesie card...

I don't have much occasion to make baby cards as all my friends are either done with babies or they aren't interested. So my little sister (so what if she is 30? She is still my little sister! WAIT...OMW my little sister is 30?! Dang I'm getting old. I digress....) emailed me that she wanted me to make her a card for one of her friends. She had wanted a baby frog card, but I just don't have any baby stamps whatsoever (maybe one Studio G one) and no frogs at all. Though I did tell her I could draw her a tadpole....she wasn't receptive to that. LOL!

So we were chatting on the phone and I just couldn't find any baby frog stamps, though I am sure there are some out there, and she needed the card in a hurry so she said, just to make a baby girl card. Again, I have no baby stamps. So, I remembered the cute onesie card which Lauren Meader had posted a tutorial and thought that it was super cute. So I looked it up and copied down the instructions. And here it is...not a stamp one on it. LOL!!

What I used: Bazzill CS, shimmery CS (unknown maker, not SU though), Cuttlebug, Nestabilities (I don't have a circle punch or the scalloped circle punch), Prima flower, ribbon, button brads which I cut a piece of the shimmery CS with my word window punch and red liner taped it to the inside to cover up the back of the brads.

Thanks for stopping by today!

A skeery zampire!

Is he scary or cute? I can't decide. Okay, nevermind. I decided. He's cute! That little wrinkle on his nose is ADORABLE! I just love these little characters!

I didn't notice until I took the photo that it appears I am the queen of sticking things on crooked...I'm gonna fix that. LOL!

What I used: Spooky, Spooky, Spooky set from C.C. Designs at All That Scraps, Martha Stewart bat punch, white gel pen, Stardust glitter pen, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Prisma and Koh-I-Noor pencils and OMS, Memento ink (I LOVE that I can use this ink for Copic markers and my pencils. I love it so much I may marry Memento ink and have little baby dew drops. LOL!) SU CS, K&Co PP, ribbon and an eyelet.

Thanks for stopping in today. Hope your day is fabulous!

What do you do?

What do you do with big stamps? These Rubber Romance stamps (which I LOOOOVE) are incredibly huge. I was surprised with the size actually and was like...OMW, What am I going to do with these?! Well, I worked it out. LOL I love the images...they're so "me!" And again, the rubber on these is so thick and luxurious!

What I used: Babs from Rubber Romance, K&Co PP, SU CS, Memento ink, Copic markers. I sponged everything with creamy caramel. I also used prima flowers, ribbon, another wine glass charm, brads, glossy accents on the bubbles and clear glitter pen on the tub and flowers. I paper pieced the bathtub with K&Co PP and colored the swoosh on the tub with a Copic marker for accent.

So, about this card.

This card was created for Carolyn King's Heart to Heart blog candy. What an amazing and over the top blog candy it is...and for such a great reason, too. The cards that everyone is creating are going to caregiver's for Alzheimer's patients. Also all the proceeds from her set, Whimsical Autumn, at Gina K. are going toward the Alzheimer's Association in memory of her grandmother.

What I used: stamp from My Favorite Things, Memento ink, Copic markers, Spica clear glitter pen, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Prima flowers, stick on pearls, Basic Grey PP, SU CS, Neenah white CS, Cuttlebug embossing folder and ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to go over and check out her fantastic blog candy and make a card in order to make a difference to someone who cares for these patients.

A Commissioned Card

My friend asked me to create a card for her grandmother for her birthday that reflected sewing. Well, the only stamp that I have that has anything to do with sewing is from this set from Pink Cat Studio. So...that is what I used!

Card details: Pink Cat Studio stamp, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, white gel pen, SU CS, Bazzill CS, Neenah white, Memento ink, Copic markers, ribbon, stick on pearls, button brads, paper piercing tool and mat pack.

No Dutch Dare card from me today so you get one I made a while ago. I have such a full schedule this week. I had meant to make a new one but time ran short. I'll get one done on Friday. :D But still, run over to see the beautiful cards and for your chance to win a surprise package from Card-Art.

Thanks for stopping by today!

New Rubbah....is there anything better?

I was sooo excited that All That Scraps started carrying some of the Whiff of Joy stamps. I just had to add one to the order that I got in the mail yesterday. And I am not disappointed! These are great! Nice unmounted rubber, ready to mount and use. (I did put mine on EZ Mount but you could easily just use the rubber with these because the rubber is so nice and thick.)

Anyway, about this card...I used one of Katharina's sketches for it...I mean, right? Why wouldn't I?

What I used: Willow with Hot Chocolate from Whiff of Joy, sentiment from Amy R. stamps at All That Scraps, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Prima flower, stickles, stick on embellies, ribbon, SU CS, DCWV mat stack, Scor-Pal, Memento Ink, Prisma and Koh-I-Noor pencils, Copic markers, white gel pen, Word Window punch, Making memories hardware and brad.

Also, did you hear that Whiff of Joy is looking for a guest designer? All you supah stars should get your name in the hat for it. I'd love to see what you could do with these stamps!

Oh no! Again with the snowmen!

Actually, Allison at Stampin' When I Can issued a challenge for snowmen cards. This is my second one for the challenge. Yeah. I love muh snowmens!

I loved this stamp set as soon as I saw it and even though it was retired, I was determined for it to be mine. Found it on ebay for a steal back in July. YAY!

What I used: Flaky Friends from SU!, SU CS, DCWV mat stack, Memento Ink, Copic markers, Stickles, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart snowflake punch (I am in LOOOOVE!), Martha Stewart border punch, silver ribbon (again in LOOOOOVE!), and a charm that WAS a wine glass charm...but I got a set of 8 for a quarter on clearance.

Actually, I got a bunch of the charms on clearance for a quarter each. YAY! What a deal. I thought the charm fit perfectly because it looked like these little snowmens were caroling. Fa la la la la laaaaa...la la la laaaaa.

Thanks for stopping by my little blog today!

22 September 2008

Pink-a-licious!

Pink just happens to be one of my favorite colors...ever! And snowmen just happen to be another one of my favorites ever!

Allison at Stampin' When I Can, issued a challenge to use snowmen. I'm taking that challenge. LOL! And on the Stamp Something blog, a challenge was issued to embellish. Ooh how I love embellishing things!

OH SO SPOOKY!!!

Not really. LOL! I just adore this little spooked puppy. He makes me smile each and every time I look at him. Or even think of him! hehe Isn't he the cutest thing you've ever seen?!

Thanks for spooooking by here today! Have a great week!

21 September 2008

Okay, okay....no more cold weather cards...

for a day or two. LOL! I wanted to get this one posted to break up the snowmen cards. Yes, I have more snowmen to share. Did you not believe me when I said snowmen are one of my obsessions?

Well, another of my obsessions (since I'm all sharing and stuff) happens to be these Glam Girls from C.C. Designs at All That Scraps. OMW, y'all. I just get the biggest kick out of glittering these and paper piecing them. I only WISH I had a wicked cool wardrobe like these chicas have!

Anyway, about this card...the inspiration for this card is from a color challenge at All That Scraps. (I SAID IT WAS AN OBSESSION...hehe!) It was to use the riding hood red and baja breeze (I think those were the names...I can't remember) along with kraft. Well, I love kraft...everything I know goes with Kraft. LOL

What I used: a Glam Girl from C.C. Designs at All That Scraps, DCWV PP, SU CS, Neenah white, Copic markers, Fiskars Threading Water punch, metal photo corner, Bo Bunny brads, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, crystal stickles and a white gel pen.

Thanks for stopping by today!

20 September 2008

My other obsession?

Snowmen. I love them! I just wish they weren't so....cold. I'm not a fan of the cold. hehe

I had some difficulty photographing this card to show the detail...so I included a snapshot of just the image detail.

AND I had pulled these colors out on to my craft table but for the life of me, I couldn't remember WHY...until I was almost finished and then I was like..."D'oh! These were the color challenge on ATS for this week!" So yeah...look for another card using these same colors later...LOL!

What I used: Frosty Friends from Great Impressions, Memento Ink, Copic markers, SU CS, DCWV glitter mat stacks, stickles..lots, liquid applique, buttons, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folders.

19 September 2008

I'm in the Holiday mood....

Actually, I'm always in the mood for Christmas. I LOVE Christmas...so much so that I listen to Christmas music throughout the year. It just makes me happy. (I don't mean I listen to it exclusively...LOL...just occasionally.)

Anyway, Michael's is full to the brim with new holiday things including this cute little Fluffles stamp. This is my first Fluffle and let me tell you...I am HOOKED! SO cute! And so round...reminds me of my cat Teddy--VERY round and VERY mischievous. Teddy is also quite "helpful" as he likes to "help" make cards and he likes to "help" assemble things and he "helps" when I clean...he is just generally "helpful."

I used last week's sketch that was posted on the My Favorite Things forum on SCS.

What I used: Fluffles stamp from Stampendous, GP white, Memento ink, Copic markers, DCWV glitter mat pack, SU CS, and that white CS that I got from my LSS that is SO shimmery...like pearlized almost, Bazzill CS, Martha Stewart snowflake punch (I punched two, cut off a bit on two of them and layered them onto the uncut one.), Stickles, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Happy Friday everyone! Have a great weekend. :)

18 September 2008

Dutch Dare Card Challenge time!

This week we were issued the challenge to make a card without square corners. I went back and forth on a couple of ides but ultimately just went with the rounded corners. Mainly because I wanted to use my new stamp I got today at Michael's. :D I picked up this little gem (my FAVORITE Christmas cartoon) and a Fluffles stamp from Stampendous. Okay, I picked up a few more things, too...two more Martha Stewart punches (a bat and a snowflake), some more paper, some ribbon, more Prima flowers...you know....important things. LOL

What I used: Stampabilities stamp, Memento ink, Copic markers, SU CS, Bazzil CS, Neenah White, DCWV mat glitter stack PP, ribbon from Michael's, brads, glossy accents.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to check out the Dutch Dare Card Challenge blog for your chance to play along and win!

(Don't pay attention to the weird lines on the photo. I had to take it outside and I set it on my patio table. The light from the glass reflected up onto the card and made it look all wonky. I didn't realize this until I went to edit it and by then it was dark-ish....whew. Long story.)

17 September 2008

Pink Rainbows...

I think I am out of this Sassafras Lass paper. Well, I have some other patterns left, but this specific one is all gone. I'm sure I'll find some other wacky looking paper when I go paper shopping next time. :D

What I used: Olivia's Birdies from C.C. Designs at All That Scraps, SU! CS, Neenah CS, Sassafras Lass PP, Memento Ink, Copic markers, white gel pen, clear glitter pen, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, ribbon.

Thanks for popping by today! I'm off work today but I have some blog designs to finish--one is giving me NIGHTMARES--and some cards to make, so I'm gonna be a busy girl today! :) Happy Wednesday!

16 September 2008

Duuuude...Chill Out!

Okay, so yeah....not that kind of chill out. :D This stamp is from My Favorite Things. I love these! Love, love! And I love sketch challenges so I used the sketch challenge from Mothers and Daughter's Creations blog. It was a really fun sketch! I kinda went simple because I didn't want to take away from the image or the pretty papers.

What I used: MFT stamp, Basic Grey PP, SU CS, Neenah White CS, Copic markers, Memento ink, Spica Clear glitter pen, corner rounder punch.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sketch Challenge on SCS

I try to do these when I can. If I like the sketch and if I have time...anyway, this was for the sketch challenge 193 on SCS. I loved the sketch and had a lot of fun putting together things for this card. :)

I just love to pieces these Annie LaPoint stamps from MFT! You can dress 'em up or dress 'em down and they always turn out better than I expect. heh

What I used: Rosemary stamp from MFT, Basic Grey PP, SU CS, Neenah White CS, edge distressor, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder, stick on embellies (not sure what to call these), Memento ink, Copic markers, Prima flower, perfect layers tool.

Thanks for popping by today! Hope your week is the best ever! :)

14 September 2008

Mmm...Cupcakes...my favorite!

Lovey lovey this stamp! I hadn't even inked it since I bought it. I know, how weird! So, for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge this week, I had to use him. :)

What I used: Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps, SU CS, K&Co. PP, Memento ink, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Embossing folder, Prima flowers, white gel pen, stick on pearls, MS edger punch. The pink around Riley is stamped with a CHF backgrounder stamp with Versamark ink (can't see it well in the photo.) The sentiment is from MFT and I cut it out with my Word Window punch. :D

Thanks for stopping by!

13 September 2008

I haven't used Riley in a while.

And y'all know that I LOVE Riley. To the point of obsession almost. hehe And I still have some Riley stamps that haven't seen ink since the last big release of Riley! I know! Shocking. I'm gonna go through on my next day off and make a list of all the stamps I haven't used yet and work on using those. :D

I made this card using Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I love Beate's sketches. They're always so fun.

What I used: Riley from Hanna Stamps, SU CS, DCWV glitter paper, Neenah White CS, Memento ink, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folders. Now....I used a lot of "stuff" on this one. I used liquid applique (for the snow..duh..LOL), Glossy accents on his Wellies, stickles for the snowflakes, and flocking for his antlers.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a happy day!

12 September 2008

Just funning around...

with some paper and stamps and things today. :) I've got some other things to do today but I don't plan on leaving my house today...even skipping going to the scrapbook/stamping store. I KNOW! The sacrifices I make...hehe

What I used: Olivia's Birdies from C.C. Designs at All That Scraps, SU CS, SU PP, SU ribbon (yes the ribbon doesn't match but it is the closest ribbon I have to matching), Memento ink, Copic markers, Word Window punch, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities.

Thanks for popping by today! Hope y'all have a great weekend. :)

11 September 2008

Dutch Dare Card Challenge time...

I had to skip it last week as I was involved in that very good thing I mentioned the other day. Anyway, this week I'm getting back on track with things.

This week, we were given a sketch. Fun, fun! So run on over to the Dutch Dare Card Challenge blog and check out this week's sketch challenge!

What I used: Time Well Spent from SU! (retired Hostess set...yes, I like some SU! stamps...LOL), Memento Ink, GP white CS, Copic markers, Prisma pencils and OMS, Stickles, Cuttlebug and Embossing folders, ribbon, SU! CS, Basic Grey PP.

Thanks for stopping by!

10 September 2008

Wanna know how I know...

that it autumn is right around the corner? Because we got our HOCKEY TICKETS today for the San Jose Sharks! WooHoo! Hockey will be soooon!

And I know that autumn is around the corner because showers are in the forcast for later in the week. SHOWERS! Like, rain showers. I'll believe it when I see it, but it has been nice cool temperatures the past few days AND foggy during the morning!

Anyway, about this card...on the All That Scraps message board, a challenge was issued to use circle inchies. Welllll...mine are a bit larger than an inch. The only circle punch that I have is from Creative Memories and it is 1-1/4" so I just used that. :D

What I used: Glam Girls from C.C. Designs at All That Scraps, SU! CS, Neenah CS, DCWV PP, Memento ink, Copic markers, CM circle punch, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Word Window punch, ribbon, Perfect layers tool, Making Memories brad, Glossy Accents, MFT sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today!

09 September 2008

This one was really fun to do...

This stamp is from My Favorite Things from the latest release. Actually it is BC Dezyns or something like that. I'm actually too lazy to get up and go look...but you can find it on the MFT online store. ANYway, this gal is SO fun to paper piece and color and decorate. :D

What I used: MFT stamp, Memento ink, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Neenah white CS, SU CS, DCWV PP, Perfect layers tool, Word window punch, Making Memories brads, stick on pearl for her earring. You can't tell by the photo but I used my clear glitter Spica pen to put glitter on her eyelids and some on her lips and then I went over her lips with Glossy Accents so they were shiny like lip gloss. :D

Thanks for stopping by today! I'm off to work. I'm so sad I'm gonna miss the C.C. Designs release party tonight. Darn sick people thinking they need drugs or something when CLEARLY I have better things to do like stamp and chat rather than work. LOL Later, y'all!
