Angels Landing DT Challenge!

This week, we were asked by Judi to make a 3x3 or smaller card.  And y'all know I love making scraplings so when this little hot challenge came along, I was all..."HECK YEAH!!!"

Isn't he cute in his little hat??  I used the Penguin Chick digital stamp set to print out this little guy on my CCD Copic Quality White Cardstock and then colored him in with Copic markers to match my patterned paper.  I just love his goofy little grin!

Sorry I've been gone for so long...work and home life is busy, busy!  I've got a LOT of things made to show though!

Anyway, that's all I have for today!  Thanks for stopping in!

28 October 2009

Not one or two or even three but FOUR!

This is my second post for the day, please scroll down to see my Angel's Landing card.  :)

I just love these new stamps from our other new illustrator at All That Scraps.  I love them so much that I made four cards with them.  hehe!!!

Aren't these images sweet?!

I won't bore you with a long list of things I used for the cards.  I used paper and ink and markers and ribbons and string and pens and tools.   LOL

Seriously, if you have a question, just email me.  :)

I'm outta here...gotta finish up my Strawberry Shortcake costume by Friday!  Still have the apron to make and the long granny drawers and I work every day this week.  ACK!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget, you can win your own set of these cute new stamps on the ATS blog!

Wild Card Wednesday at Angels Landing!

These cute little penguins are part of the latest release from Angels Landing digital stamps called Penguin Chicks. I love their funky little hats!  I used some Christmas colors on this card as I'm trying to determine what sorts of cards I want to make for the (very few) Christmas cards I'll send out this year.  I'm loving the red and green though I don't usually use a lot of these greens.

Thanks for stopping by today. Come by later for my ATS sneak peeks!!

27 October 2009

Have you been following the ATS sneaks?

I mean, seriously? Have you seen the awesomeness?!

I know I'm late in posting mine...had quite a time this week as I've been working a whacked out schedule. And in my spare time, I've been sewing a Strawberry Shortcake costume for myself. hehe!

Anyway, on to the cards...we have some great new stamps coming for the November release at All That Scraps!

I went a little glitter-iffic on this one!  I just love these little fairies!  So whimsical, aren't they?!  These are from our new illustrator at ATS.  This line is Sweet November-Fairy Sweet and then each little fairy has a different name but that is in the craft room and sooo far away and I'm lazy.  But you'll be able to see them all on release day.  :D  Check out the ATS blog to win your very own set of all four!

LOOK AT THESE NEW SWISS PIXIES!  Woulja just look at that image?!  Eee!  I love my Swiss Pixies, y'all know that.  Anyway, this one reminded me of Cindy Lou Who and the patterned paper reminded me of Who-ville....so put the two together, right?  Love!

Check out the ATS blog to get a chance to win your own set of all three of the Swiss Pixies.  I also used the upcoming release from Amy R's sentiments sets.  Seriously she has the best sentiments.  Y'all will see more of those later.  :)

Some Stuff....and other things....

  • Did you hear who the new guest designer is at Squigglefly for November?  MEEEEEEEE!  hehe!  I'm so excited!  They have some fabulous images over there.  I've been working on some thiiings...hehe!
  •   Tomorrow starts the previews for November's releases from All That Scraps!  (I gotta finish my cards!)
  •   You likey my new blog template?  I got it from Template Mama.  You'd think that a gal who won an international award for having the best blog design a few years ago for her personal blog would be able to make her own.  Well, I can...but dang if I can find the time so I'm using a *gasp* pre-made one.
  •  I made some blinkies for All That Scraps.  You can feel free to use them on your own blog (just right click, save, then upload to where you store your pics and put 'em on your blog.)

Anyway...I think that is about it....

OH! Over at Holly's blog I was "tagged" and I'm supposed to tell you 10 random things about me...Well, I dunno if I have 10...so I'll take a stab at it!

  1. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats, they are my fur-babies.
  2. I live in California but I'm from Kentucky even though I was born in California.  heh
  3. I really feel goofy thinking up 10 things...so let's see....
  4. I won an award (mentioned above) for best blog design for my personal blog.  I hardly even pick up my digital pen anymore.
  5. I drive 25 miles each way to buy my favorite iced tea.  I buy 3 gallons at a time and it lasts for a week.
  6. In addition to a paper addiction, I'm also addicted to nail polish.
  7. Oh and I have an apron buying problem.  I have well over 100 of them.  My mom makes the most FABULOUS aprons, y'all.  I need to get her set up to sell her things on Etsy.
  8. I still have Christmas garland hanging on my kitchen windows from last  Christmas.  I think it looks pretty up there so I just left it.  I don't think it looks THAT Christmassy.  I mean, it doesn't have lights on it or anything...just greenery garlands.
  9. I love having plants in my house but I can't because my cat, Teddy, eats everything that comes in the house.  He's chewed on at least 5 pairs of my shoes.  MY CAT.
  10. So here we are at 10...la la la...I made it!  (almost.  LOL)
Later y'all!

Ah...she's just lovely!

I've had this stamp since it was released and haven't ever used it. Why? I dunno, maybe I'm crazy?!?  And to tell the truth, I've had this image colored and ready to go for over a month.  LOL  I must be crazy....

Angel's Landing DT challenge

This is my second post for the day, scroll down to see the previous post, please!

Hi all! This week Judi challenged the ALDT to create a card with stitching...faux or actual stitching. Well, I decided that even though I do have a regular sewing machine that I would do faux stitching because I dunno, I just like to do it!

I printed the image from the Season's Tweetings set that was just released!  Y'all know I loves me some cardinals, right?  haha!  I colored it up with my Copic markers to match my Basic Grey Wassail paper (waah, I'm running out and not many places are carrying it still...but I do have some on order *wink*)  Then I faux stitched around the paper and the image panels.

I love hos this turned out!

Anyway, that is all I have for today.  Thanks for stopping in to see me!

One last hurrah to summer!

Today is challenge day at the ATS blog!  Be CERTAIN to check it out later in the day for a special announcement.  I'm fairly certain you're gonna be LOVIN' IT!!!

AND AND AND!  All the C.C. Designs stamps are 25% off right now today

AH - HA - HA - AND did y'all see the new Winter Stamp Kit?  Now that, folks is something to be excited about!

Anyway, for this challenge, we've been challenged to create a tall card.  I dunno why but I never make tall cards....I love how they look though!  All that extra space for embellishments and heck, just a show-off of some of my favorite patterned paper just makes me giddy!

Recipe:

Stamps: Sugarplums Sunglasses Emma - actually, I used the digital form of this image.  :)

Ink and Coloring: Copic markers, white gel pen
Paper: C.C. Designs Copic Quality White, patterned paper
Embellishments and Etc.: Cuttlebug, Spellbinders dies, starfish embellishment, Stickles, ribbon, brad and bead spacer.

Ow, ow, ow! That was the sound my pocketbook would have made if these awesome stamps from The Greeting Farm weren't digital. Instead my pocketbook was like, "Ohh...well, I guess so!" LOL!

ACK I know! These are adorable digital stamps!  I almost couldn't take the cuteness myself!  Aren't they cute sharing their sweet?  The little boy one taking a peek at his cute-as-a-button companion.  hehe!  Love!

If you missed the beginning, head over to Judi's digi-stamps blog and follow the links so you can see everyone's pretty creations. Today the Design Team is introducing two new digital image sets for October, Season's Tweetings and Penguin Chicks.

Today I used the Season's Tweetings set to make a sweet little card...see, it says sweet on it!  LOL!

I saw that ribbon and I couldn't resist coloring it pink...I tried but I couldn't!  So it is a bit of a non-traditional type Christmas card...but I like it!

Ink and Coloring: Printer, Copic markers
Paper: C.C. Designs Copic Quality White, Patterned paper, colored cardstock

Last one from last weekend's VSN! This one isn't as failtastic as the last one I shared the other day. hehe I was afraid it would be because of all the elements in that challenge...a heap of colors, a mess of embellishments...layers..oh my!

I got this cute stamp from Squigglefly. I was sooo excited to see the new stamps over there and I had to get this cute little turkey who is all stuffing himself for Thanksgiving.  I'm new to their digital stamps but they really have a lot of cuties over there!

Angel's Landing DT challenge!

On the Angel's Landing Digi-Stamps blog, Judi challenged us to use the autumnal colors on our cards. Of course, the latest release from Angel's Landing totally lends itself to these colors so this card came easily for me.

I chose a clean and simple layout for today's card so I could showcase the beautiful digital stamp.

Stop by the Angel's Landing blog to see what the other gals have done for you today. :)

Another VSN card...

Yes. They did. They challenged us to make one of these tri-shutter cards. In 45 minutes. ARE YOU KIDDING? LOL!!

It was my first time and frankly, I think this card is a big bucket of FAIL! But at least I know I can do it. I'm just gonna need more than 45 minutes to complete it. LOL

Stamps: Ollie and Griselda from All That Scraps
Ink and Coloring: Memento ink, Copic markers
Paper: C.C. Designs Copic Quality White, American Crafts PP, colored cardstock
Embellishments and Etc.: Scor-Pal, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders die, Prima flower

05 October 2009

Did y'all do the VSN on SCS last weekend?

I played with some of the challenges but had a full weekend so I didn't get time to play with them all. But, one of them was to use the chalkboard technique. Which I thought was kind of a cool technique that I had never tried.

I had to have a pretty solid stamp so I chose my set from Amy R at All That Scraps called Fresh Flowers. I wanted my flowers to kind of look like a mum and I think they kind of do!  Sort of.  LOL

Stamps: Amy R. Stamps Fresh Flowers
Ink and Coloring: Versamagic ink, Chalks, ink for sponging
Paper: colored cardstock, Basic Grey patterned paper
Embellishments and Etc.: ribbon, Cuttlebug, Spellbinders die, stick on pearls, MS edge punch

Be sure to join us on the ATS forum for our release party tonight!

One more sneak for All That Scraps...

Today we're previewing the new Emmas for All That Scraps! She's a little angel! There are 3 Emmas and 2 sentiments in this set. And each one is just as cute as the other!  She looks like she's in a church Christmas musical.  :)

I chose to use this little angel because I saw her and knew she had to have a shiny gold trumpet...so I dug out my gold paint pen after many, many million years and whaddya know?! It still works!  I put some glossy accents over the top and it had a neat effect, it made it look like it had a patina on it.  NEATO!

Stop by the ATS blog for your chance to win and to see what the other gals did with the new Emmas.  And join us tomorrow in the ATS forum for our release party!
