Why am I always behind?

It seems like I'm always running to catch up on things. I don't know what happened! I used to be on top of everything and now I've just got my timing off.

Anyway, I made this card using Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge for this week. I just love these sketches because they're usually simple enough for a beginner (like me) and challenging enough for the "pros" alike. She does a great job and I really appreciate her work!

On this card there is no stamping! Even the words aren't stamped, they're a SU! rub-on. Truthfully, I'm not a stamper. I like stamping and everything but I love putting together papers more than I like stamping. Anyway, I went to Michael's yesterday to look for the new Martha Stewart border punches but ours didn't have any so I bought a butterfly punch. Our Michael's really never has anything new. I don't know why I bother going there except it is the only place to get Martha stuff.

I punched the butterflies from scraps of Cosmo Cricket papers and mounted them on kraft because the white was way too stark against the brighter papers. I used the faux stitching on the butterfly paths as well as faux stitching around the Blue Bayou strip.

SUPPLIES:

CS and papers: Blue Bayou SU!, Kraft SU!, Cosmo Cricket DP

ACCESSORIES: SU mat pack and paper piercer, SU! rub-on for the sentiment, khaki grosgrain ribbon, corner rounder punch (to make a fake word window), black and white gel pens, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, nestabilities and Cuttlebug, dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by here today! Hope you had a great weekend. :)
