Hope you're having a fairy nice day today!

hehe! (Edited to add something to the bottom of this post!)

Over at All That Scraps, Christine put together this FABULOUS digital download of this precious angel with all different hairs and positions and stuff....well, I like angels and all....but I thought she'd make a cute fairy, too! So I opened up the digital image in my Photoshop program (I don't know if you can do the same with other graphics programs, I use Photoshop CS3), a few whacks with the erase button and my angels were turned into fairies! I then just printed it out and saved a second copy with the fairy name on them instead of angels. :)) So now I have more versatility with my little digi download. :) And for four bucks, you can't beat that!

What I used: Angels Everywhere digital download from All That Scraps, Copic markers, Stickles, Basic Grey PP, DCWV note card, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, white gel pen, Prima flowers, green flower rhinestone gem, twill ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by today! :)

EDITED TO ADD: Did y'all seeeeee? I've been chosen to be one of the designers for All That Scraps for 2009! YIKES! Soooo exciting! I'm so excited to start on January 1st. :D When Amy R. emailed me, I nearly fell off my chair. I mean, ME. They picked ME! Little ME who only made her first card with her first stamp earlier this year! Wanna see my first card? DO YOU? It was DREADFUL. LOL! Okay, okay...here is my first card ever:

Dreadful ain't it? LOL! (This also counts as my entry with Allison's "post your uggos" LOL!

A onesie card...

I don't have much occasion to make baby cards as all my friends are either done with babies or they aren't interested. So my little sister (so what if she is 30? She is still my little sister! WAIT...OMW my little sister is 30?! Dang I'm getting old. I digress....) emailed me that she wanted me to make her a card for one of her friends. She had wanted a baby frog card, but I just don't have any baby stamps whatsoever (maybe one Studio G one) and no frogs at all. Though I did tell her I could draw her a tadpole....she wasn't receptive to that. LOL!

So we were chatting on the phone and I just couldn't find any baby frog stamps, though I am sure there are some out there, and she needed the card in a hurry so she said, just to make a baby girl card. Again, I have no baby stamps. So, I remembered the cute onesie card which Lauren Meader had posted a tutorial and thought that it was super cute. So I looked it up and copied down the instructions. And here it is...not a stamp one on it. LOL!!

What I used: Bazzill CS, shimmery CS (unknown maker, not SU though), Cuttlebug, Nestabilities (I don't have a circle punch or the scalloped circle punch), Prima flower, ribbon, button brads which I cut a piece of the shimmery CS with my word window punch and red liner taped it to the inside to cover up the back of the brads.

Hello....Kitty!

Okay, y'all should know this right now. I LOVE Hello Kitty. Bordering on obsession I would almost say. hehe

Anyway, if you've ever used Adobe Photoshop, you know that they have shapes that you can create or download and install. You can use these shapes to create computer graphics.

Well, I happen to have Hello Kitty shapes. I can't remember where I found them but when I saw Allison's Girls of the World post where she used the clipart, I knew I had to use my Hello Kitty shapes to one day make a card.

What I used: Photoshop, Stampin' Up CS, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folder, K&Co PP, Making Memories button brads, spica glitter pen.

Again with the no stamping

These are more of my outline Starform stickers that I bought when I made my quilt card a few posts down.

I just carefully laid the sticker down on to vellum paper and then colored it in from behind with my Copic markers. I found a cool piece of paper in my DCWV paper pack that had the same little symbol on it as one of the stickers so I used that and put it on a base of kraft from Stampin' Up.

Thanks for stopping by today. :)

Another quickie....

I'm lazy today. I played with some stuff but didn't finish anything really. I went to the stamp store today so....I HAD to come home and play with my stuff and test it out, right? hee

Anyway, here is another quick one. Looks complicated doesn't it? Well, it might be if it weren't for these cool stickers that I got at my LSS! They are new to me at least! According to the lady at the store, they are a hot seller. They're called Starform stickers...the official website is here.

I just slapped 8 of these little triangle stickers on a 1-1/4"x6" piece of scrap double-sided Daisy D's paper and then trimmed around, matted and stuck it to the card. I kept the card simple so that my patchwork "quilt" is the focus...oh and coz it is quick, too. LOL

Enough typing. Here is a close-up of the "quilt":

More with the no stamping.

Truthfully, I'm not really great with the rubber stamping. I don't have fifteen million colors of inks and the inks that I do own, I don't know how to use and they always end up puddling even when I'm using SU! ink on SU! stamps....so, I stick with line images that I can color (because I LUFF to color) or I do things where I don't have to stamp much. heh.

I have had this DCWV paper pack for ten bazillion years (a few months) and I love it, but I don't know what to DO with it so I just started playing around last night with a pattern and I kinda like it.

All the CS is from Stampin' Up! and the paper is from DCWV's Far East 8x8 pad. I used my Martha Stewart Butterfly punch to punch out couple of butterflies out of the scrap pattern paper and then I sponged the edges of them with Distress Ink. Simple, no? Took me all of 10 minutes which included picking out papers and gluing everything together. hehe!

A card I didn't CASE!

It is for a challenge and it was one that I really wanted to get done because I think it is nifty! Anyway, Allison over at Stampin' When I Can had these girls of the world available for download and then she went and challenged us to use them. Well...okay! :)

Anyway, I had some stuff out to use so I figured that I may as well use up what I had on my table...and here is what came out. I'm fairly pleased. :)

Supplies:

Stamps: The girl image is downloadable (word?) from here. The enjoy and flower are from a Michael's Studio G stamp. The flowers on the side are from my SU! rub-on and I filled in some area with a white gel pen.

CS and papers: The red is Bazzil textured cardstock, the black is well...I don't know...black cardstock (lol!) and the white is my GP.

Ink: I used Staz-On to stamp the image onto the red.

Accessories: Cuttlebug and Swiss Dots embossing folder, prisma pencils and OMS to color, black grosgrain ribbon, corner rounder punch (which somehow tweaked the edge of my CB'd piece), Sakura glittery pen to color the red heart on her jumper.

And that's it. Easy peasy. I could have added a million more layers but I wanted to keep it simple and fast. Probably took me 15 minutes and most of that was cutting and coloring. :)

Thanks for stopping by..."see" y'all soon!

Pick me up....

I made this card as a little pick-me-up for a friend. :)

I'm gonna be late for work so I'll just tell you that all the papers are from SU! and there is no stamping again. I used a rub-on. Actually, two of them.

The ribbon is from Michael's and I used some Fiskars paper scissors to make the mat for the "Friend" rub-on. And I used my crop a dile and uhm....OH! My Cuttlebug and an embossing plate from Fiskars. The stitching is faux stitching using my mat pack, paper piercer and my super pens I buy from the Japanese stationery store in San Francisco. LOVE those pens!

I'll add more info later. This is for Beate's weekend sketch challenge!

Thanks for stopping by....:)

Babies...everywhere!

Is it me or have there been a lot of babies lately?

I made this card for a girl at work. I used Lauren's idea with the onesie but I made a girlie dress. I thought it was cute! There isn't a stamp one on it--mainly because I couldn't make a decision on where to put it so I just left it off. :)

I used pink cardstock--I can't remember the manufacturer. For the buttons, I used stick-on pearls. I used my Martha Stewart border punch to make some lace for the bottom & made the collar with my nestabilities and cuttlebug.

This was such a fun (and easy!) card for me to put together. I had to make an envelope because it turned out a little larger than I intended (with the addition of the bottom lace) so I had to alter a larger envelope to fit and make it match. I added one of the shimmery white flowers from Michael's on the cut-out area and then stuck on a sticky pearl.

Hope you have a great day!
