So, I'm still playing around with paper and ink and stamps and pretties!  Enjoying the mess out of it.  Speaking of mess, WHEW my craft stuff is sorely out of sorts.  Hopefully I'll find some time to sort more of it out...mainly so I can find stuff.  LOL!

High Hopes Challenge....

This week, the gals at the High Hopes blog made a challenge to use your FAVORITE High Hopes stamp. Wellllllll...I happen to have a lot of favorites...hehe...but the one stamp that made me finally place an order was this Santa stamp. I just love Santas!  So I had to use this stamp...and there was a bit of a little panic as I couldn't find my sentiment stamp that went with it...but I dug around and found it in the bottom of my High Hopes stamp storage container.  WHEW.  Crisis averted!

Nay, I do not believe that I have. Wellllll...she is a cutiepie-patootiepie from High Hopes! I looove these angels they have. Perfectly sized for coloring and decorating...just love 'em!

Oh...and I have some news....in my previous post, I posted that I was applying to the DT of a new stamp company called Inky Impressions...and I've been selected to go to Round 2 of the call! You can see all the other talented ladies who have been chosen for Round 2 on their blog. I'm honored to even be considered! Fingers crossed! :D

Anyway, about this card...I think it was for a challenge but I honestly cannot remember if it was or not. So I'm going with not. LOL!

What I used: High Hopes rubber stamp, Memento ink, GP white CS, SU CS, Making Memories PP (I think?!), Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing border, Copic markers, Shimmerz Paints, white gel pen, Spellbinders dies, paper piercer.

I'll have something using the new colors of Shimmerz (new website! Go look at it! I'm a Shimmerz Angelz!) for y'all to look at soon. And have you heard of the new Shimmerz Spritz? Ooh y'all....makes me fan myself in anticipation. haha!

Anyway, that is all I have to share today. STILL trying to get over my plague. Only have itchy eyes, stuffed up face and a cough left to go away. Everything in California is blooming. (Hate.) But in other news, our kitchen range (which was quite expensive to buy in the first place and is not that old) was going to be over $800 to fix soooooo we bought a new one. Happy Anniversary to us! LOL! (Our anniversary was on the 23rd.) What I've always wanted! Nah, honey...skip the $2000 in jewelry...lets buy a new range instead. SOOOO ROMANTIC!! hah!

Here I am!

Emerging from the cage that has been work for about a month! LOL Ooh I'm soooo over going to work and working so many hours. It really puts a damper on what all I can do in my "spare time."

So, I'm cutting back on hours at work which gives me more time to play with things!!! And that is what I've done all day today. (Well, besides doing laundry..hehe!)

And what have I been busy doing???? Wellllllll, a few things that I can't quite share yet *wink* and this one that I can share! I got to use my new High Hopes stamps that I hadn't inked up (even after waiting a ginormous amount of time for them.) And woo hooo hooooo! They are soo much fun to color. I think that is what draws me to them so much. :)

What I used: DCWV notecard, Basic Grey PP, High Hopes stamp, Brilliance ink, Embossing powder, Copic markers, SU CS, Mellow moss ink for sponging, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinders dies, Shimmerz paints on the wings, some SU ribbon, and see those little plastic flowers? I don't know where I got them but they are just really fun! Oh and I used a brad.

OHHHHH....did I forget something? I mentioned a little something about some blog candy. Yes, yes. Well....my one year anniversary of stamping is coming up on the 16th January. That was the first day I stuck ink to stamp and made a card. Annnnnnnnd on 17 January (Saturday) is my birthday! Ooh I'll be 37. I mean, seriously. HOW did I get this old? HONESTLY.

as I'm due to work in 10 minutes. LOL! I'm having no time to stamp or blog or anything probably until after Christmas....so don't look for too much from me until then. ;) But I finally got my High Hopes stamps and I really, really wanted to use my fishing one...so I whipped this one up last night in about 30 minutes using the cute sketch (SC207) from SCS. :)

8 minutes 'til I'm due at work.

What I used: High Hopes rubber stamp, SU CS, DCWV notecard, Basic Grey PP, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Memento ink, Colored with Copic markers, accented with white gel pen, perfect layers tool helped me get all my layers perfect without measuring and I glued it all down. I sponged the heck out of the image panel with some Distress ink.

Anyway, that is all I have for now.

5 minutes 'til I'm due at work...guess I'd better go...it takes me 3 minutes to get there and I have to find my jacket!

I found this image in my stack of images and since I still haven't received my High Hopes stamps (I'm ever so impatient), I had to use this cute little image! I think it is from Kelly when she sent me that fabulous RAK, but it was all alone, so it could have been anyone who sent it. (I love trading images so...yeah...could have been you if you're reading this and sent it to me..hehe!) ANYway, on the High Hopes blog this week, the challenge was to use metal on your card.

What I used: Sentiment from Forest Friends-Stampin' Spot Studio at All That Scraps, Time Well Spent image, colored with Copic markers, sponged with Creamy Caramel and Adirondack Espresso, SU CS, Basic Grey PP, Metal stick on embellies and metal Making Memories brads. I put the paper piecing on the blue part but I'm not entirely sure I love it...but it is there and I'm not taking it off AGAIN. hehe

So thanks for stopping by today! I'm cleaning up my space...clearing out some MORE things. Waiting for new stuff to arrive. I have GOT to tackle this scraps pile. OH my do I have a ton of it. High Hopes Challenge!

Okay, so I don't have my new High Hopes rubber yet. I'm impatiently patiently waiting for them to HURRY UP AND GET HERE ALREADY arrive in my mailbox.

So anyway, the talented ladies at the High Hopes blog issued a challenge this week...SPARKLEMANIA. I know, you're thinking to yourself "OH GREAT she's gonna use a ton of glitter again!" "Oh how fun, she loves glitter!" And you're right. I LOVE glitter and I've used a metric ton of it...and different kinds. You want glitter???? Because...I GOT YER GLITTER!

Where is all the shimmery, glittery goodness? Okay...the image is matted on a glittery CS from DCWV. The angel's wings are Shimmerz'd, the bicycle is Stickle'd, the tires are glossy accented, and the flowers are glitter-ized with Martha Stewart glitter. AND THEN, I spritzed the whole thing with Glimmer Mist. I also put a little bling in her ... what is that part of the wheel? Anyway...the middle of her wheels...a brad with a bead spacer under it. Here is a close up shot of the glitter-fied image. (As always, you can click them to see how badly I messed it up the detail.

What I used: High Hopes image (RAK'd from Kelly...my last one! But I have more on the way...hehe), colored with Copic markers, the glittering accents I listed earlier, DCWV PP, ribbon.
