Dutch Dare Card Challenge Time!

I missed it last week. But this week, I've got one for you!

This week, we were to use black, pink and purple. At first, I was unsure as to how I was going to make pink and purple look okay together. I mean, I know pink and purple CAN go together but I wasn't feeling it. Try your hand at the card challenge this week and see what sort of fun blog candy you could win. :)

But I chose this beautiful Basic Grey paper as my inspiration colors and it went together so easily from there! And if the black around the oval looks a little wonky, it is because I had to hand cut it since I don't have oval scallop Nestabilities (yet) and I had to use the largest one to cut out my image.

What I used: Hanna Stamps, Memento Ink, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, SU CS, Basic Grey PP (also used a bit to paper piece the present), Shimmerz Paints in Periwinkle, SU ribbon, and a ribbon slide.

Oh and don't forget to enter my blog candy for a $25 gift certificate to All That Scraps! ~~>CLICK HERE TO ENTER<~~ You can find that Basic Grey paper there as well as many Hanna Stamps. :)

Whatcha cookin'?

Me? I don't cook. LOL That is my husband's job. I can cook, I just choose not to do so. :D

But I do love and adore aprons. I have a bunch of 'em, too. Vintage ones, kitschy ones, functional ones...all sorts. I dunno why, I just collect them. I have over 100. *gasp* I know. Addict, eh.

So, when I saw this Hanna stamp set (which y'all know I love me some Hanna stamps) I knew I had to have this one.

In fact, I've gotten a way-hay lot of new rubber (and clear stamps) today in the mail. So much that I don't even know where to begin! My stamp space is covered in new stampy goodness! Can't wait to go in there and play some more!

What I used: Hanna Stamps Kiss the Cook (I think is the name but I'm too lazy to go look), GP white CS, Adirondack ink, Copic markers, Basic Grey Urban Prairie (loooooooove OMW love it so much), pink craft ink (Versamagic?), clear embossing powder, pink gingham ribbon, CM heart shaped punch, some stick on pearls, Bazzill cardstock, SU cardstock, unknown but VERY shimmery white cardstock for the base, and a Martha Stewart edge punch. I also added a bit of Spica glitter pen on her dress and shoes to make her glamah-russ.

Anyway, thanks for stopping in today! Glad you could make it. Dancing Banana

Ooh...neato stuff!

This Flower Soft stuff? Way cool! What a neato idea to add a little extra texture to a card! I bought mine at All That Scraps but they carry it at Hanna Stamps, too. Anyway, I just love it! There is a LOT in the package, too which makes it economical for those on a budget. *wink* I just used some Aleene's tacky glue (the gold and white bottle) to stick it down.

This card was made using Sherry's sketch at SCS for a WCMD challenge. :) I changed the stamp, the paper, & the ribbon.

I also made the words and the little tree in Photoshop because I didn't have anything to add to my circle. ;)

What I used: Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps, Memento Ink, Neenah CS, SU CS, DCWV mat pack, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Copic markers, Prima flowers, ribbon, brad, Flower Soft, Aleene's tacky glue and a bit of Icicle Stickles dabbed on the white Flower soft for some glittery snow effect.

Thanks for stopping in today! Hope you're have a faboo day! :D

Riley! Aren't you done...

harvesting for the season? And it is Thursday so that is Dutch Dare Card Challenges time! We were to use a stamp with a wild animal. Moose are wild animals, right? Well, Riley might not be. *wink* But, I hadn't used this cute little Riley stamp since I bought him. And I was itching to make another Riley card because I LOVE HIM. So I found some cute paper from K&Co that had a harvest theme and took it from there. Hop on over and see what the other ladies have created and to get in on the fun!

What I used: Riley from Hanna Stamps, MFT sentiment (Punny Farm, I curved it on my acrylic block so it would just fit on the green part of the PP), Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Memento ink, Copic markers (do you see how my E31 is about to dry up? I couldn't find a re-inker that wasn't going to cost me a bazillion dollars to ship so I just ordered a new marker and when I get my reinkers, I'll just have two to keep filled. heh), ribbon, SU! CS, Neenah white CS, paper piercing tool, K&Co PP, glossy accents on the tractor...because Riley takes good care of his farm equipment. hehe!

Thanks for stopping in today. Hope you have a great day!

Mmm...Cupcakes...my favorite!

Lovey lovey this stamp! I hadn't even inked it since I bought it. I know, how weird! So, for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge this week, I had to use him. :)

What I used: Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps, SU CS, K&Co. PP, Memento ink, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Embossing folder, Prima flowers, white gel pen, stick on pearls, MS edger punch. The pink around Riley is stamped with a CHF backgrounder stamp with Versamark ink (can't see it well in the photo.) The sentiment is from MFT and I cut it out with my Word Window punch. :D

Thanks for stopping by!

I haven't used Riley in a while.

And y'all know that I LOVE Riley. To the point of obsession almost. hehe And I still have some Riley stamps that haven't seen ink since the last big release of Riley! I know! Shocking. I'm gonna go through on my next day off and make a list of all the stamps I haven't used yet and work on using those. :D

I made this card using Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I love Beate's sketches. They're always so fun.

What I used: Riley from Hanna Stamps, SU CS, DCWV glitter paper, Neenah White CS, Memento ink, Copic markers, Cuttlebug, Cuttlebug embossing folders. Now....I used a lot of "stuff" on this one. I used liquid applique (for the snow..duh..LOL), Glossy accents on his Wellies, stickles for the snowflakes, and flocking for his antlers.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hope you have a happy day!

I've been busy...

with the Verve sketch challenges on SCS! I've made 8 so far (just finished the 8th, in fact.) And I've only got four to go! I only started yesterday. LOL! Nothing like waiting 'til the last minute. But I did wait and here are a couple. I'm gonna save the rest for later this week as it is going to be busy this week a work. *pouts* hehe!

Paper: Stampin' Up, K&Co., Neenah
Ink: Memento & Copic markers
Accessories: Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, gel pen, stick on embellies from Michael's.

Those little things that look like brads? They're from the beading section and they were on clearance for a dollar. They're supposed to be used on bracelets but I just put a glue dot on the back and stuck it on the paper. :D

This post brought to you by SC188 on SCS

What a great sketch this week on SCS! And since I got a new package Monday with the new Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy line patterned paper, I just had to cut into it! I used to not be this way. I used to "save" my paper...for what? I dunno. It is paper for pity's sake. It isn't like I won't find others that I may like more than the one I'm saving.

Anyway...isn't Riley cute as a button sitting there on that little hill toasting his marshmallows? Hee...I love Riley! If Hanna Stamps were to ever need a Riley only design team, I would be there to pester them until I got in. LOL!

What I used: Stampin' Up Cardstock, Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy PP, Riley stamp, MFT sentiment, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Perfect layers tool, Bo Bunny Brad, white gel pen, Memento ink, Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you're all having a great week. Happy hump day, y'all!

I have relaxing on the brain...

or I wish I were on a beach somewhere warm drinking a large iced tea with nothing to do but sit and navel gaze. So...I decided to use two of my Hanna Stamps and Riley stamps to make these for the Hanna Stamps release sketch challenges on SCS. Don't they look soooo relaxed?!

What I used: Riley from Hanna Stamps, Memento ink, Copic markers, Stampin' Up CS, DCWV paper, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Perfect layers tool, Canvas BG, ribbon, CM wavy cutter, MFT sentiment.

For the Hanna card, I wanted to make a scene. :) So I used my uninked stamps that I bought at the last release and had not yet used. So, I got to working on her.

What I used: Hanna Stamps, Memento Ink, Copic markers, Stampin' Up CS, DCWV paper, Threading waters punch from Fiskars, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, white gel pen and a really sharp pair of paper snips.

That is is for today! Thanks for stopping by. I've got a ton of stuff to do today. YUCK! I would like to enjoy my day off just relaxing like these two...but life gets in the way of that sometimes. Enjoy your day!

Back to school time!

Or at least it will be soon here in California!

This is another Dirty Girls challenge on SCS. For those who don't know what I'm talking about (Jan..hehe!) it is a series of challenges made for the fan club members of SCS by the Dirty Dozen girls and alumni.

And on to today's card!

This is for the horrifying color combo of which I spoke yesterday. Not at all colors I would normally pick (yellow is my all-time least favorite color ever in the entire world.) I searched through my limited supply of stamps for something that wouldn't look completely out of place with these colors and then remembered I had my little Riley with the school scene! I think he works perfectly for these over-the-top colors. :)

What I used: Riley from Hanna Stamps, MFT sentiment, Memento ink, Copics, bashful blue ink for sponging, glossy accents for his eyeglasses and apple, Martha Stewart edge punch, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folder, SU and Bazzil cardstocks, yellow twill ribbon and my perfect layers tool.

Thanks for stopping by! I've only got 3 more challenges to complete today and I'll have finished them ALL! Wahoo!

28 July 2008

Fun with Riley ....

These are more cards I created for the DTGD challenges on SCS. I think Riley is a pretty awesome little fellow. He leads QUITE the lifestyle with all his activities! :)

What I used: Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps, DCWV PP, Stampin UP CS, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Memento Tuxedo ink, Copic markers, twine.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas in July!

Okay, so I happen to LOVE Christmas. Like crazy love it....so much that I listen to Christmas music all year 'round whenever the mood strikes me. LOL So when I saw the Hanna Stamps Christmas in July sketch over at the Hanna Stamps forum on SCS, I knew I had to ink up some of my Winter/Christmas Rileys. :D

I found when I went looking that I didn't really have any Christmas papers. OH NO! I had used them all up on scrapbooks in previous years and since I started stamping AFTER Christmas, it never occurred to me to buy any Christmassy paper. But, after some digging, I found a lone single piece of ANCIENT 12x12 scrapbook paper. This paper might even be older than me...like at least 500 years old. So I tried to find a way to use it so you couldn't really see how old it is but you got the idea that it was wintry. hehe

What I used: Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps, Stampin' Up CS, ancient DP, flocked corner sticker, vesamark embossing pad and embossing powder, cuttlebug, nestabilities, Stickles, Memento black ink, Copic markers, some ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

13 July 2008

Lazy Sunday...

perfect for making things! Right? Having a bit of fun today with some things.

Anyway, I saw on the Our Creative Corner blog a beautiful dining room as the inspiration challenge this week. No rules or sketch were given, just that we were to take whatever elements or colors or whatever we liked from the room and create a card. Okay! :D

Here is what I made:

Supplies I used: Stampin' Up CS, unknown sourced DP, MFT stamp and sentiment, cuttlebug & nestabilities & swiss dot folder, May Arts ribbon, Memento Rich Cocoa ink and copic markers.

And I made a cute Riley card, too. :) I loves me some Rileys...I do, I do! I was just futzing around with some circle cards and put this little guy together. And since his floatie has dots on it, I carried the dots theme throughout. hehe (Oh and a note about his floatie. After I took this picture, I remembered to use my glossy accents on it so it was shiny...so pretend you see it there, okay?!)

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Here comes the bride!

Well, let me tell you right now that I won't be duplicating this card. LOL! That itty bitty girl with that 3" piece of tulle wore me completely out. I've had this idea in my head for a while to do with this stamp, but I just never did it. Well....Hanna Stamps has a new bridal stamp coming out...and well, while I'm waiting on it to arrive, I decided to try my hand at the idea floating around in my head. heee!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

What I used: Hanna Stamps-Sweet Celebrations, Memento ink, Copic markers, tulle, stick on pearls, silk flower, silk leaf, Cuttlebug, Swiss dots folder and LOTS of red sticky tape.

More with my new Riley stamps!

I just can't get enough of Riley. I mean it. I love that little fuzzy buggar!

At the All That Scraps blog, they issued a challenge to use Groovy Guava, Bayou Blue and Chocolate chip. All LOVELY colors!

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget to enter my blog candy for a set of Koh-I-Noor pencils and some blending stumps of you own! :)

What I used: Bayou Blue, Groovy Guava, Chocolate Chip, Shimmery White CS from Stampin' Up. Memento ink and colored with Copic markers. DCWV paper from the Far East collection. Groovy Guava stitched ribbon. Riley stamp from Hanna Stamps and the "get well" is from Gina K. I distressed the edges of the mat on the DP with a Heidi Swapp edge distressor. I sponged around the edge of the oval sentiment with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I also cuttlebugged the bayou blue with my Swiss dots folder.

Hi. I'm Jennifer and I'm addicted to writing on my cards.

In. my. own. hand. I am used and abused at work because they always want me to write something for them. Like not CREATIVELY write but to use my penmanship skills for them. Anyway, I haven't got that many sentiment stamps so when I'm making a card, it is sometimes difficult to find the right one so I'll write it in with my own handwriting.

Thanks for stopping by today and don't forget about my blog candy a few posts down. :)

Waiting for my new Rileys...

so I pulled out some of my Hanna Stamps to use. :) I have had this stamp set since it was released and haven't ever used it. Why? I don't know because it is SO CUTE!

I used Hanna Stamps, Saassafrass Lass pattern paper, Pink SU cardstock, stick on pearls, copic markers, Brilliance ink, random company's flower...I think Hero Arts, Prima and well, I dunno who made the other...and I put a lot of stickles on. I mean, who wouldn't want a glittery vacuum cleaner!?!

21 June 2008

This was for one of the challenges on the Hanna Stamps forums. Hope you're having a great weekend!
