Happy Thanksgiving!

To my U.S. pals and family! :) May your turkeys be brown and your potatoes be soft, your pie sweet and your gravy un-lumpy. :D

Just wanted to pop on here to share a card that I started days and days ago but hadn't ever gotten the chance to finish! (You'll know why later tonight!)

As I had said earlier, I am loony in love with the Great Impressions stamps. This is another one that I picked up on my jaunt to my Local stamping store.

I used the sketch from Our Creative Corner because it was just beautiful and because this image I thought would be perfect for it.

What I used: Poinsettia stamp from Great Impressions, Sentiment from C.C. Designs, SU CS, Basic Grey PP, SU ribbon, Edge distresser, Memento ink, Copic markers, and Shimmerz Paints.

Speaking of Shimmerz Paints, did y'all hear that they have their OWN store now? Yup! You can order right from Shimmerz. Isn't that fantastic news?! The new store is here: ***NEW STORE*** And to celebrate the opening of the new Shimmerz store, run over to the blog where they're giving away FIVE jars to one lucky winner! Good luck! :)

Thanks for stopping in today. Happy Thursday!

Bit of a departure...

from my "normal" of whimsical creatures and beings. This being a bit more "elegant" than I normally do. But I bought this stamp today at my local STAMPING store (along with another...LOL!) and I just had to use it.

You see, I received a card from my FAVORITE Stampin' Up gal (Hi, Gina!) and it had a lovely stamp that was used on it and it is a retired stamp set and I can't find this stamp set (for the price I want to pay) so I've been searching for a suitable replacement. Well, this one kinda fit the bill....it is bigger and it isn't quite exactly the same, but I really liked it, so it had to come home to live with me. :D

What I used: Great Impressions stamp, SU CS, DCWV notecard, Basic Grey PP, paper crimper, stamped it in black Adirondack ink, colored with Copic markers, some faux dew drops, paper piercing tool. After I colored the image, I smooshed my Versamark pad over it and then sprinkled on some iridescent embossing powder, heat embossed it and WOW is it sparkley!

I love these Great Impressions stamps. I need to do a Google search and see what other ones they have that my local STAMPING store doesn't have because all the ones they have in the store I want so I'm SUUUUURE there are MORE that I neeeeed. hehe!

Thanks for running in today!

My other obsession?

Snowmen. I love them! I just wish they weren't so....cold. I'm not a fan of the cold. hehe

I had some difficulty photographing this card to show the detail...so I included a snapshot of just the image detail.

AND I had pulled these colors out on to my craft table but for the life of me, I couldn't remember WHY...until I was almost finished and then I was like..."D'oh! These were the color challenge on ATS for this week!" So yeah...look for another card using these same colors later...LOL!

What I used: Frosty Friends from Great Impressions, Memento Ink, Copic markers, SU CS, DCWV glitter mat stacks, stickles..lots, liquid applique, buttons, Cuttlebug, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug embossing folders.

Again with more vellum....

Are y'all sick of seeing vellum? Hope not, coz I have a LOT more. LOL Today on one of the Dirty Girls challenge on SCS was to use vellum. Oh my! Right up my alley of late! Hehe!

I went simple with this one. Actually, I dreamed this one up right before I went to sleep last night. The colors and the stamp and the sentiment. hah! But I had it being navy under the vellum layer but when I checked, it looked much better over the kraft.

What I used: Great impressions Dandelion stamp, Verve Visual sentiment, kraft and night of navy Stampin' Up cardstock, vellum for whoknowswhere, white craft ink and 2 rhinestones.

Thanks for dropping by today!!
